Dancing pets - please remedy.

Post by Mens Rea »

So I've been noticing some weird behaviour with pets.

I am in Brit forest. I say "all kill" and click on an enemy. My wyrm begins to spin around very fast in a circle on the square it is standing on, and then quickly spin/shimmy eastwards off my screen.

This happened to my horse as well.

It's strange behaviour.

Also, another odd behaviour:

Say all kill to a bunch of monsters
Click on one monster
The first monster dies
The other monsters are still attacking my pet
So, my pet fights them, but while fighting them is walking around them in some kind of square dance. It's like the pet is pathfinding - pets were not that smart/stupid on OSI.

Please consider.

Grab your dragon and dosey doe

smack him where the sun dont shine......

Pet AI is quite messed up in many respects (as it has been for a while in different ways) and I'll be back to working on this soon. There is a sticky in the Bug Report section which lists a lot of these issues.
