Fishing info???

Post by Flash Hardstar »

O.k. guys, gotta be honest. In my 10+ years of UO i've only had a fisherman to about 70, and I can't remember for the life of me about it. SO can anyone tell me:

What can you fish up besides shoes?

What do you do with MIB's and SOS?

What are skills that compliment a fisherman realistically?

Thanks guys!

You can fish up regular fish (which yield 4 fish steaks when cut)
Four types of "rare fish". These are colorful fish which temporarily add to your stats when eaten (They are eaten raw)

When you click on a MIB, you get a SOS. You go to the coordinate in the SOS and when you fish there you find a treasure chest.

When you have 80+ fishing, you can fish up a sea serpent. I believe they carry treasure maps. They are not terribly strong, but you still must have some magery in order to kill them as they have ranged attacks.

I like having archery instead of being a mage as a fisherman, although some magery is almost a must.

No, not at all.

Also, you will only get Messages in a Bottle at 100 fishing from 'deep sea serpents" which are about twice as hard as a normal sea serpent but still not too tough with magery
