here's my question:if you attack someone for mistake, let's say with an energy vortex, but you dont kill him,you are however eligibile for a murder count, right?it's there any means to prevent that?i know in some shard(i really dont know the era),if you cast a benefical spell or use a bandaid, you can't be reported anymore.does this apply here?
thanks

Re: murder counts
no. any harmful action against a person makes you eligible for a count.. there's no way to get out of it unless they recall away before they die.
Re: murder counts
Or, you can dispel the EV, and cure and heal them up to full health.
I believe if someone is dealt damage and then healed to full health, the original person who dealt damage to them is no longer on the hook for if that person then dies.
Not sure how this applies to aggressive spells like Paralyze and Weaken, which deal no damage.

Yes, poison is an interesting spell. If the person is healed to full, and then you don't make any other aggressive actions against them - then they die by poison, you will not be eligible for a murder count.Mikel123 wrote:Or, you can dispel the EV, and cure and heal them up to full health.

Regarding paralyze, it always dealt 1 damage in era.. not sure if it does here. I might test out debuffs and their contribution to MCs later.

Re: murder counts
patch 129
Murder Count eligibility changes:
* Paralyze and debuff will make you eligible for a murder count
* You are otherwise not eligible to receive a murder count unless you actually do damage to your victim
* Creating a Firefield directly on top of somone will make you eligible for a murder count; but having someone walk into your firefield will not.
* You will be eligible for a murder count on someone you've damaged until combat expires, that victim is at "full health", dies, or recalls.
o "Full Health" is now properly defined as not only having all your hit points, but also no longer being paralyzed, poisoned, or debuffed.
interesting.

Re: murder counts
Hm didn't realise that was changed. My bad. Guess I don't need to do that debuff testing!
