Why are you asking me?

I've told you my interpretation of the rule, and I don't make the rules so I cannot exactly give you an answer without it being some form of my understanding of said rules.

Just stop what you're doing, when you've been reported over 50 times there's a problem bro.

If it is derailing the thread it will be removed.
If the OP asked for it not to be in their thread, it will be removed.
If it is obvious spam it will be removed.
Use common sense and this whole thread is a one liner.

You know you are the problem, and now you are trying to justify your right to troll people.

Obvious troll is obvious? or something to that affect.

I was asking a simple question. Please keep personal attacks to the trash talk forums in the future.

BF, please lock this thread. Once rules are set (which they are), they are not meant to be discussed, they are meant to be enforced. So everybody, please drop it.

If you get a warning, you will know why, so stop doing it. If you get a suspension, you will know why, and still have a chance to stop doing it. If you are banned, you were pushing the envelope, and you knew it. Even my 3 y/o knows not to f' up 3 times in a row.

It is obvious nox is trying to create a loophole where there is none, and if there happens to be, it is a case by case scenario which will be dealt by the OP and mods.

Just stop replying to noxmonk, let him get his first warning and the subsequent suspension. He can then take it Braden or Nevermore, who won't be so willing to discuss this "issue" in depth.

Problem solved.

The reason this post was even made because the rules are not being enforced and this is the section to discuss it. Hence second age discussion. This is a serious issue and a problem here on UOSA and it needs to be discussed.

I think the discussion has come to a standstill...what more do you want to be discussed?

Firstly, nox, please cease your blatant abuse of the report function. It's a little ridiculous to report people for the same general activity you're doing just because you're the one being targeted for disrupting the trade forum.

Now, I glanced over this thread and it's a complete joke. The arguments within about weather or not people should be allowed to intentionally disrupt threads under the claim that they're being more realistic or it's their right or there's no specific rule against it are tenuous at best. But since this is apparently such a big issue I will make things more clear.

Not that long ago there were issues with the trade forums and a lack of civility in them; I made a post about the rules and guidelines of the trade forums and I'm going to remind everyone of them right now: viewtopic.php?f=102&t=22151

I would also like to remind people of the traders discussion section created to avoid situations like certain listed individuals keep creating, the section is listed here: viewforum.php?f=102 And their rules are listed here: viewtopic.php?f=102&t=22163

The rules listed for the traders discussion forum are now going to be applied to the whole of the trade forums.

And to further ensure that this stops becoming an issue I will also start using the following guidelines for the trade forums. All of the rules listed are subjective of course, Blackfoot has been much more generous in his enforcement of the rules than I would have been up to this point. But since this has become such a large blip on my radar there will be changes. In the trade forums I'm going to ask everyone to assume that there's a 'golden rule' in place. Treat others how you would want to be treated, etc.

I'm also going to ask that you be civil and any issues you have with an auction should be taken up in the traders discussion forum; you may link your created thread in the auction thread but leave it at that. I'm also going to start harshly punishing people for being disruptive in the trade forums. I will use a two strike system. You'll get a warning. Then you won't have access to the trade forums.

Judging what's disruptive will be up to me or the other staff but it's going to be based on a common sense, 'sniff test' type of mentality. If your post doesn't pass the sniff test you're getting a warning. Then it'll be very clear what you should and shouldn't be posting. This is not meant to act as a means of censoring people or disallow discussion. Do it in a thoughtful, civil, non-disruptive manner using the appropriate channels of discussion and there won't be an issue.

This may seem unfair to some people but I'd like to quote this very poignant post:
BobDobbs wrote:There is no justice here. This is not a democracy or a court of law. You follow the rules or your privileges (not rights as you have none) are taken away.

This thread will be left open for discussion for now, unless it becomes even more uncivil in which point it will be locked.

So, I can be punished for a rule that is not stated but not report violations of that rule?

You are reporting things that are fine...clearly you're not understanding something here.
