The teleporter back down was the same spot it is when you're teleported back up I believe, which is on that runic icon. This is the star room that I remember in '99. I guess it is possible that it was added later on closer to UOR. I didn't venture much there later towards that publish.

So does anyone know what this room was ever intended for? or did it just stay empty through out the ages?

The only time it was ever used for something was when they added Champion spawns in late UOR.

Just went back there. Actually, I was mistaken. The issue wasn't the teleport spell or the walls. It's just that the tiles in the field are blocked. You get one of two messages depending on where you try to teleport to in the field: "That location is blocked." or "You cannot teleport from here to the destination."

I would like to be able to teleport through ceiling tiles while directly under the exact same tile.

I'm not sure if this was brought up yet or not..
