Major bug, needs to be fixed asap.

Post by egamretsam »

I am running Windows Vista x64.

I followed the directions posted on this site to get everything installed. Following the installation the game runs fine, I turned off the in game music to prevent the crash to desktop problem.

After I reset my computer I am unable to get Razor running at all. Here is the sequence of events

Error : 1
Error : 1
Error : 2
Error : 1
Error : 2
Error : 3
razor closes itself.

Please advise on how to remedy this problem, uinstalling and reinstalling fixes this issue, but as you all can understand, is an unacceptable solution.

Here is what the error windows contain:

Error : 1
There was an exception while attempting to load 'C:\Program Files\Ultima Online\cliloc.ENU':
System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path

System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path
This is a file access problem and will likely be remedied by running as administrator.
Unfortunatly this is not something we can fix on our end as it is entirely a client issue related to the security setings within your operating system.

Both the client and Razor were both built (not by us) well before Vista came out.
If you're unable to get it running by "running as administrator" here is some information on disabling Vista's "User Access Control". I'm not recommending doing this, it's only information:

Derrick,
Thank you very much, I read later on that you posted telling somebody else to "run as administrator." Thank you for the support.

Much appreciated.
