provocation skill

Post by FaelynRose »

I have heard that you can raise your provocation skill by macroing. What would be the best creature to use and do you have any tips on how to reach gm quickly?

Thank you in advance for your help

I'd definitely go with a rabbit.
Save yourself the shame and embarrassment and just assume that if you can't understand me...you're the one who's retarded.

Find a trapped animal that can see you, but not reach you, and macro overnight provoking the animal to attack you. Many people use the stalls of a town's stables for this. Of course, you're likely to be griefed if you use Britain's stables, or any other popular one, but find a low-traffic one and you'll be much more likely to wake up alive and with good skill gains the next morning, as opposed to dead (or with your provoking target dead).

Moonglow Zoo works well too, but have nothing on you except your newbie clothes and newbie instrument. It's often hit by griefers as well. If you have even a small house, that's your best bet to avoid getting killed during the night.

Provocation is not skill based at all, so using any animal or monster will work all the way to 100.

A rabbit works great! Thank you all for your input. The point gain is slow but steady and much easier than spending hours wandering the countryside in search of creatures to provoke.
