I owned a pair of sparkles in 2008. I then left the game for a long time. During that time, A GM accidentally gave them to Bigoud a year later as a unique item with disregard to mine already awarded. I then felt my set of sparkles were devalued, so opted to cash them back in for my trophies.

The history/origin behind sparkles if anyone is wondering.
