Died on boat. Locked out now :(

So I finally got a ship in UO! I was so happy that I sailed out of the Vespers harbor only to be chased down and brutally killed by a deep sea serpent (on my mule). This was a surprise to me to say the least. I remember being able to out sail these pests and water elise but maybe my memory serves me wrong.

So I sail back to the harbor as a ghost, jump off and get healed. Well now I'm standing in front of my ship, locked out and feeling like a schmuck (my key is on my dead body which is also on the ship).

So to make a long story short, would one of the GMs be nice enough to help me get back on my locked ship and back to the high seas of excitement? Thank you

When you placed the boat you get two keys. One on your person, the other is placed in your bankbox.
In other words go to bank, keep key in your bank, and recall
If your body isnt decayed yet you can get your other key back

You can also dock the boat and then put it back in the water, and get two new keys, in case your body is gone and you are down to one key.
