Greetings and Salutations

Post by Mephistopheles »

This seems like a good enough shard to waste my life away. Dig the old-school ethos and the classic PvP environment.

The first class I'm rolling is a mage. Here's my template...

100 Str + Int
25 Dex

GM...
Magery
Meditation
Eval Int
Resist
Healz

I'm doing Music + Provo to make some $$$ because it's my first toon.

I was just wondering if Wrestling + Tactics benefit you at all in PvP w/ special moves, no spell interrupts, etcetc if you be a mage

Or..

If I should just keep Music + Provo or get Taming + ALore

I'm thinking my toon's going to be more PvP oriented..but I enjoy dungeon crawling, so any advice is appreciated.

BTW, his name is Milkshakes.

Cheers,
Vin

Welcome to the shard Milkshakes.

There are no Special Moves, but wrestling does cut down you spell interruptions, and you need tacs for damage if you intend to use a weapon.

Many couple Magery with provo, and also with taming. I'm sure others will provide more feedback.

Great to have you on Second Age.

So put a skilled dexxer vs. a mage on a t2a shard...is it about an even match or does one usually get their shit ruined by the other?

Thanks for the info!

Cheers,
Vin

Opinions vary on this. I think luck has quite a bit more to do with it. I don't believe either is clearly overpowered, but others would say different.

in 1 on 1 situations they're very evenly matched, unless of course the dexxer is all decked out with gear. A vanq kat, pots and a reflect item = good night mage.
