Fame on a crafter? best Method.

Post by Hoots »

So i just finished up a 7x crafter..

Tinker, Smith, Tailor, Carp, Scribe

Med, Magery.

Wouldnt mind getting to be able to display my title. Only real option here is EVs, (no EI, combat or healing skill)

What do you think the best method to do that is? I dont really care about the loot... just the title.

Thanks!

I would have to say EV's, or if you can double account with your farmer and last shot the mob when it's about to die. Double accounting would seem somewhat difficult in my opinion. Once the Lich Lord Room area above the ledge gets fixed to how it worked back in the day with the line of sight problems that would be the best option for you since you could simply step back and never receive damage. The pathfinding issues with the AI can also give you huge problems, since for example using the EV trick on Blood and Poison elements in shame isn't viable. The same applies for using the trick on Balrons in Hythloth. Until the pathfinding problems get fixed these tactics that were usable back in the day won't be viable for your type of situation sadly.

You can do blade spirits in Wrong on the Ogre Lords as well

the wrong room is real tough to solo the mob... I have been in their with 2 gm provos and it is still crazy... hardly any time to loot. Orcs and all spawn as quick as they die

on OSI people used to add their crafter to a party then grind dungeons hard... it would take pretty much 10x more time, heh.

My advice would be probably to see if you can pay a tamer to take you out and sit back on the same screen as his dragons kill things on the same screen as you that you throw an ebolt at or something.... if that even works here.

soloing Wrong is easy with blade spirits, anyone who has trouble there should learn the aggro mechanics of the ogre lords.

well, i dont claim to know everything about PvM in Uo but... that wrong room is much harder than i remember it... combine the time it takes to cast a blade along with interupts and having zero wrestling i would like to see it be easily done...

Not to mention having to worry about reds as if they catch you in a BS cast (gotta be quick on your puches..) you are dead and there is nowhere to run...

How do you even get back to the OL? there are 20 ogre, orc and orc lords in that room and they all spawn very quck.

Maybe its changed in the last month but we had 2 provo's in there and it took all our efforts to control the mob using Provoke and BS.

pre-cast BS outside of LOS and then cast it in the room, then keep pumping BS into the room until all ogres are dead =) EV are a plus if you can cast them.

You can also use that table/chair setup in Wrong (part of the static dungeon) as a crutch to help. Monster AI is slightly higher here still but you can outsmart them pretty easily

Some NPC's break boxes but not all. I'm not quite sure which types do, but I know it's relatively related to the toughness of the creature I believe.

Monsters will break items to get to you, however I'm talking about the table/chairs that are in the dungeon and part of the map. They cannot be moved or broken.
