Skill gains

Post by Bishop »

I have tried to search for the answers for thes questions and have had no luck. I was just curious how skill gains work on this server. Are there increasing delays as your skill gets above 80? Is there any kind of guaranteed skill gain system? Does 8x8 work here?

Sorry if these answers are easiliy found, I looked and couldn't find them.

Anti macro code was put in place very briefly at the end of t2a about a patch just before the UOR publish. We are not using this feature for obvious reasons. This means 8x8 would not be necessary since that is only used to counter the anti macro code. The Guarenteed Gain System is also way after the UOR publish and we do not use that here either.

All delays on skills are static, which means they are the same unless we change it in the actual code. However, this would never happen unless we found it to be inaccurate.

The skills on here has a possible chance to gain as long as you use the skill. It doesn't matter where you are at in the map or how many times you use it there. There are specific skills where you have to use specific means for a possible gain. Magery is a great example of this. You can't of course cast magic arrow to become a grandmaster mage. The spells that you cast for a possible gain is related to your level of skill. There are several other skills that use this similar procedure.

I hope this helps and welcome to the shard!

So basically use it. No delay timer. Correct.
