Question about Order and Chaos...

I can't confirm for sure but as far as I know/remember, yes. Towns were always dangerous places for mages.

If you only plan to fight in town, that's correct.

Also, paralyze is unaffected by magic resist, and so are debuffs.

A lot of PK and war guilds are order/chaos but I don't see a lot of town fighting. Then again, I don't spend much time in town.

I see some, but given the nature of this shard, the bloodrock gave up its 'chaos' ways in favor of having murderers. Back on GL there were enough people warring us and enough order guilds that chaos served our purpose (and not being red helped to avoid scaring noobs). Here, that just wasn't the case and its really not possible to not go red as an orc.

o/c has died off since quite a few guilds have quit over the years, there's still a decent amount but its mainly pks vs. blues at the GY and in dungeons

That's not true, a lot of the fights I have here are order/chaos...Although I think a lot of the oranges I see are from warring not from O/C.

This should have been changed in a recent patch (not sure if it was, it is isn't in a patch note and I don't know why) after finding a detailed comment from the OSI development team (you may need to highlight the entire page with ctrl+a to read the text properly) detailing the changes to O/C combat.
