Hally hit damage and hit % have been nerfed
whether this was done intentionally or not, it's hard enough to kill a running/chugging/minihealing mage as it is, so why make it even more difficult? this is less skill based and more boring. 1 v 1 mage fights take a lot longer now and are virtually worthless. it's almost like whoever has the most regs will win the fight. we don't need it harder for people to die. at the rate things are going, we won't even need a healer shop.
things were great before imo. nerds who hang in irc all day and don't pvp will come in here and try to tear a hole in my argument with fancy words and programmer lingo. why? that's what they do. it makes them feel special. don't listen to them. go see for yourself and ask that the GMs look into this.

You know, I read the entire text of this thread and I don't see anything that could be considered evidence of your research.
Strange, considering you mention percentage as though you had some actual data to go along with this assumption you're making.
Get one of your alts, with equal skills, start swinging and log that data.

that's a good idea. but i didn't do that on the old system. i saw no reason to.
imagine if you logged into irc and the screen was a different color than black one day. you'd pick up on it pretty quick. that's how obvious it is to people who pvp often.

GM hallys are still doing 40% and that's not including anatomy bonus.
If you find it's hard to kill somebody 1v1 then maybe you need to take a second look at your strategy and why you're not making kills.
Running is (unfortunately) part of the game & field pvp, so you'll need to find an effective way to kill people who choose to screen. Really not that hard

sure you may get a 40% hit but it's not going to be often and i think whiffing is more common than hitting now. it's harder to kill players one v one because hally dmg, on average, is low and i'm whiffing much more than 50% of the time.
try and kill me one v one when i'm trying to get away. you will probably kill me 0% of the time if i don't lose conn no matter what gear you have.

Yes, that is actually possible as I've done it myself and Ronk will vouch for similar results.
Dice rolls are what makes a game like this interesting. If hits were the same every time.....there would be no point to any variety.

recently i've confirmed my suspicions that there is something wrong. but it all started a few weeks ago when there was this player, zeusk or something, who i kept running into at destard. we fought for almost two hours (recalling and restocking when we needed to). i must've whiffed on quite honestly over a dozen killshots. i began to suspect him of somehow cheating. i'm not bragging by stating that i was clearly better than this player at pvp and missed on over 10 killshots. so i finally go to bed, as it's late, and decide to go to bux bank to equip a new hally that would turn my luck around. to my surprise, this same red is sitting at the bank. i put on the new hally, attack him and notice he's lost conn. i invis him, go about my business, then i begin to wonder how many more times i would whiff on a killshot VS him... so i got him down to ~10 dmg and whiffed eleven times in a row on the killshot. that ain't normal.
*this isn't being brought up with any kind of selfish motive. i think it should be easier for everyone to die, including me. dicerolls on hit % and dmg seem off.

I'm not even sure what this means and can only assume this is another instance of people attributing others actions as my own. If you're referring to my PvP abilities, I openly admit I am no good at it as I never practice or seek it out. That having been said, I never bother taking your head when I kill you as it is worthless and a waste of my time.
In response to the subject of the thread, I can not back up or verify anything you have said with any of my experience in-game. I believe you are just getting bad rolls, are missing something, or are exaggerating your claims. Again, I cannot duplicate what you have said on anything approaching this level and have to dismiss it as not true.

Just because it's unreasonable that I saw Santa Claus doesn't mean it's not true!... of course seeing the source code that Derrick uses would be as rare an opportunity as seeing Santa Claus... and that's really the only way to solve this question for sure (unless, of course, you want to talk about the bias in random number generators).Neither a negative claim, nor a positive claim, is ever absolutely certain (i.e. absolutely "proving" facts about reality seems impossible). For instance, someone who believes that they have seen Santa Claus may have been hallucinating, or otherwise deceived.
In any case, I don't have any data one way or the other, but I think it's a valid question to explore.
