I believe it was the point that rather than the quoted price, which IMO was too high, I would make an offer. Whether or not the offer was accepted was left up to the seller.

I see no point in being spiteful, you purchased the spear for what you believe to be a fair price, congratulations. It really was of no consequence whether or not I purchased this spear. I just wasn't about to pay the price of a small deed for it.

You could have dropped some decency in your 'offer' by indicating that you feel the price set is too high and you would offer 20k, or whatever.
No matter I'll be stabbin up some people. I needed more GT fencing in my box.
