On one side , i agree the philosophy that everything should be the same as it was on this era , but on the other hand , the low server population makes it very difficult to bring a decent challenge to the noobies.
From what i understand , you basicly need either a mage , provoc or tamer to Hunt in the late dongeons , or else you are kinda stuck.
I personnaly played on private servers that added an ankh at the entrance of each dongeons ( not really giving any advantage here , since theres usually always a healer near dungeons entrance ) to make things convenient for everyone. you still have to struggle to find your corpse , but it gives you a little chance.
But as it is now , i'll just stop hunting as it gives you no chance at all. I had the nice idea to go to deceit end's yesterday. when i died i just realised i was basicly stuck there dead (stuck menu used already.) since that even if i resed , there was no gate or anything to get me back to a city. and im not a fan of dual client ...
A Rez Gate Could be only a gate that brings you to Brit or Bucs when you are dead ; it doesnt actually res you , only teleport you if you are dead.
All in all , im just discouraged at hunting at all. i always been a pvm addict , but certain things really killed my urge to kill monsters.
I would also like to talk about loots. i kinda found some loot to be really disapointing considering the skills and levels of the monsters i was fighting.
What is the point of going in the lost lands , up to the ophidian forteress if they drop the same things as an earth elemental ?? for me it makes no sense at all , i take alot of risk into going to the lost lands , having no way to recall (on my last server they allowed recalling into the lost lands ( thought it was the same here :S )) or get my body back if i die ( cause usually , you have to walk for 15 min to get back to you body. )
theres like a too much big gap on the loots for the difficulty of the monsters in my opinion , even if i do know its accurate , for me , accurate shouldnt pass ahead making it fun and logic to the current situation of a server. Again all this stuff should be discussed , as my knowledge about T2a era seems pretty low. ( I really played mainly in the UO:R Era )
I think it would be Very interesting to maybe Bring custom contents into your server ; But Making the custom content Relevant and logic to the T2a Era , keeping the same philosophy. I personally think it would add something very interesting to the second age.
( By custom stuff , i talk about maybe new places to hunt , new spawns ( with existing monsters or balanced new ones (with logic loots , not overpowered ones)). You could even create new unique PvM Rewards , should it be cloths or w/e , that would randomly drop on any monsters with a very low %. ) It could be only Decoration stuff like statues , that would drop at a very low % from their according monsters , therefore encouraging the killings of monsters that are usually never hunted.
All these suggestions comes out of my head like this , i dont really ask for a change , it was just a thought on the moment. Keep going with the good work guys , your server is pretty amazing as it is.
