Carpentry-help!

Im at 46 skill 31.1 show real and ive used a little over 700 boards with no gains ive tryed a few things dosnet seem to work most of witch were Small crates and med ones as well even tryed a few small tables with no go im in town i dont know if thats effecting it or not if i could get some help it with a guide for lower lvl carpentry it would be of great help ty!

I've recently got to GM status in carpentry and here is what I made to get there:

I bought up to around 30 carpentry real skill, 47ish shown.

Here is what I made to gm:

47 - 65: Ballot Box
65 - 75: Wooden Shield
75 - 90: Quarter Staff
90 - GM: Gnarled Staff

I think around 99 I made a few music stands and easels but I'm not sure if that actually helped or if I lost more boards that way.

It took me around 50k Boards to GM, give or take 5k.

I stood next to a trash can at a bank and just dumped everything in there with a Razor organizer macro called from my carpentry macro. The time it would take to make trips and sell the items made it definitely not worth it to me, especially with the vendor's paying less and less for goods they are overstocked with.

Seem that i wasent able to make ballot boxs at that skill =[ I did figure it out though. I ended up making small tables till i was able to do the ballot boxs. It took a good chunk of wood to get it up to 47 (not show real) even though i only made 3 tables when i was testing to see what gains. I didnt want to waste alot of wood if there were no gains to come of it. sence it did take 14 boards per with the stack of 700 boards I ended up using but got nothing outta the rest Wooden Boxs, Small Crates, Medium Crates.

46 to 47(not show real) Carpentry make Small Tables till Ballot Boxs and the rest of the guide works great, at 65.9 with great gains!

Yeah, I'm stuck at 42.0 (33.1 real - for some reason these numbers don't correspond with the above posts, not sure why?), medium crates seem to accomplish nothing...

Don't have the skill for tables or ballot boxes or anything yet, or if I do, they're not showing up for some reason. Also been through 600 boards w/o a gain. Is this weird at this low of a skill level?


Edit: Nevermind, I'm an idiot. Was really...buzzed...and forgot to turn all my skill arrows to the down position, so yeah, basically just disregard this whole post.

where are ballot boxes? im at 47.3 (displayed skill) and cant make them?

tables works, but it is slow. Hope that ballot boxes are much faster!

Carpentry is one of the crafting skills that consumes the most resources, because you can't smelt or cut the items produced to yield materials..

Plan on spending a lot of time chopping wood or buying boards if you plan to GM this skill.

Do the ballot boxes sell back to the vendors?

I haven't been able to find a vendor that buys the ballot box deeds. I just trashed them.

However, I kept the rest of the stuff, all stored in wooden boxes (my house looks like a warehouse hahaha). I'm selling some NPCs each time I go to town. At least I can make some money out of training carentry.
