Not true... I'm not in CN and I've noticed a performance boost. My ping is slightly higher, but no more spikes. That was the major concern anyway.Slade wrote:Look at all these Canadians wetting themselves.
Meanwhile, the 95% of the server who ISN'T from Canada is laggier than ever.
New Host/Server for the Shard.

The placebo effect is strong in this one.

You should maybe contact your ISP and beat them to death...
Re: New Host/Server for the Shard.
The new server is GREAT! I am in FL and I have 0 lag and no packet loss. Thanks for moving to a new server!

You are the only idiot complaining in this thread .Slade wrote:Correlation does not imply causation.BlackFoot wrote:i havnt gotten any freezes at all so far

Re: New Host/Server for the Shard.
It is completely possible for me and other to have lag free game play now on the new server. I think your ISP is your problem. You may want to call them and find out the issue.
Re: New Host/Server for the Shard.
I get a lot of lag spikes and have to re-synch a lot.......worse for me on the new server than the old one.
Re: New Host/Server for the Shard.
Tell me how many hops you have from your computer to the new server. Go into Start > Run. Type in CMD and click ok. Now type in tracert uosecondage.com. Each entry you see is a hop.
Re: New Host/Server for the Shard.
Lol..you're such a tool, you are the only one having a negative result so far.Slade wrote:Look at all these Canadians wetting themselves.

Re: New Host/Server for the Shard.
That's not entirely true. While the latency and packet loss problem have decreased for the majority of the players, there are a handful that have had significantly increased latency. For some it's just been coincidental with the move and local problem on there end, but many of our AU players are seeing increased ping times.
Overall, I believe the move accomplished a much more reliable connection for most users, but sadly not everyone.

How do you see your ping?
also on the same subject. can someone please tell me what "client syncronization" does?
Thanks,

To see your ping in-game, type: -pingApok wrote:How do you see your ping?

Thanks,
this is a razor feature.
You can also, ping the shard from the command line:
ping uosecondage.com
Client Synchronization simply requests from the shard your current location and updates that within client, likely causing your character to move a tile or two if you were out of synch.
