MiB Loot

Post by roflcoptersaurusrex »

I can't remember exactly the quality of loot from fished up chests in the T2A era. I've been looking everywhere for this information. Can someone shed some light? I've found plenty of charts for T-map treasure that breaks down what to expect. I'd love to come across some info like that. Such as how much gold, how many magic items, possible levels of magic items, scrolls, regs, gems, etc.

Well, I don't have any links for you, but I can give you some general ranges, since I have a GM fisherman myself.

The MiB's are level 1-3 t-map style chests, with what seems to be a fairly even chance for each level with each chests fished up.

Per level of chest you get (these are approximate ranges, but fairly accurate from my experience):
800-1000 gp
~20 regs
4-8 gems
3-5 scrolls
5-9 random magic items.

Again, I'm sure I'm missing a bit on specific numbers for the non-gold items, but I'm confident I'm in the ballpark.

As for levels of items, the scrolls definitely scale up in level with the level of the chest, and the magic items seem to be more powerful the higher level the chest. However, in the case of the magic items, his could be more a function of getting more of them, rather than the items trending upwards in power.

Hope this helps.
