lame teleporting pks

Post by PimP DaD »

How does one counter this? Most of the time i get away from pks, but the ones that use this tactic I have trouble with, because running does no good. Someone mentioned invis rings. Can an invis ring be used a split second after i initiate recall so basically i finish the majority of my recall invised?

yes

make a macro that just does this
Castspell: Recall
doubleclick invis ring

or

Castspell: Recall
Toggle: Invis clothing/jewelry

the former is better but invis rings are slightly harder to get hold of. the second macro is slightly worse as you need to relift and equip the item if your first recall gets disturbed (possible with delayed damage)

there is jewelry with teleportation charges...
going invisible right on the spot isn't going to work all the time, if they are running after you chances are that at least one has a purple prepped
once you use that item..your spell is toast anyway, or thats how its supposed to be

with the 1 second delay on explosion pot dmg, unless they actually targeted u with the pot before u even started the recall macro- you should be able to get by the whole purple pot thing, you could also throw in a tab out of combat part after you invis your character so as not to reveal due to wrestle. There is no delay on tabbing in and out of combat however, I believe razor tries to treat that with the whole object dly you have set on another tab, so changing that to 0ms will make tabbing crazy fast but you will be slammed by must wait to perform blah blah blah on just about all other things.

there is a 1 sec delay on any direct damage spell except harm, exp pots also have a 1 sec dmg delay

so unless someone releases a spell on you or throws a pot just before you hit the macros i described, you will get away (tabbing out before hitting this macro will save you the pain of wrestling away your invisibility)

if you use this knowledge to your advantage, plus a little common sense, you should almost always get away

If you're a bard your best bet is to hold recall all the time. After you open a monster's corpse, recast recall immediately and loot it while holding the spell. Be alert.

If you're a pvper then carry teleport rings, preferably. Invis items are nice too, but never use it unless you teleport first. Vs huge ganksquads you run the risk of being hit by tons of hallys if you mess up.
