How come people in game can't see my profession when clicked

How come people in game can't see my profession when clicked on me?

I can see it on my paperdoll "My name journeyman rogue" but noone else can see it.

Is it because I installed the patch with UOPatch in the UO installer folder? that's the only change that i've made that i can think of so far...

to be able to see a title requires your character to have a certain amount of fame.

oh i see, so, it won't be possible for a "The Rude *Name*, adept swordsman" or the like?

My character profile/paper doll says "The Kind *insert name*, Adept Stoic" but when others click on ME, all they see is the "The KInd *insert name"" and not the "Adept Stoic" part.

Is this a technical failure or ? I think i have enough karma since it shows "the Kind"
I wonder why it's not showing up?

It has to do with the amount of fame you have, not karma. You must have either level 4 or 5 fame in order for your profession to show up for others. Here's the chart: http://web.archive.org/web/199910222311 ... ekarma.htm

If you have a title from the fourth or fifth column on that chart, your profession will show to players who check your paperdoll.
