Being moral does not include making good on your word as a business person--that is defined as part of "business." What you're referring to as a moral compass is having an edge on someone due to information--open access information at that. If they do not keep themselves informed, it's their own fault. Information over another is one of the key foundations of business, and the life-blood of economy. So, what you define as lacking moral compass ---> people not staying informed--does not exist in the real business world. In the real world, people not staying informed = $$$ for those that do, and rightfully so.

Better translated as, cover your own ass and you won't get ripped off. If you don't, sucks for you.
