Well, 100k is still under 15k per map. Normal gold off an average lvl 5 is around 19k, plus the items and fun, so he's still coming ahead.

I usually pay 20k for Lvl 5's, I did a test a few times and after selling all the loot and mob drops I got about 22k + the magic weapons/rings I got from it.

You get a lot more profit buying Lvl 4's for about 5k, but I frequently get invis/flect/tele items in 5's which make it much better. Not to mention that Balrons, Bloods and Poisons drop lvl 5 maps which pretty much means you double up if you get lucky.
