i am looking for a housing placement guru who can help me with placing an L-shape where i currently have a small, acording to current housing placement rules it should place by all means but i cant seem to get it rite, perhaps there is someone who can help me with this for a fee of course
any input or assistance would be greatly appriciated.
Telamon and Lightshade are very skilled at placing. Other people who know their stuff are Kelektra, and Phatt Abbot, but dunno if they're still playing.
If I gt a chance to hop on, I can try to help you too, althoug I am not nearly as good as them.
If you're having trouble getting in touch with Lightshade or Telamon for assistance, I'll share a bit of 'best practice' with you.
When you're attempting to place a house, maximize the UO window, then drag the gameplay screen up to the top left corner of the black background space.
Personally, I always have the gameplay window centered with all my crap around it (paperdoll, pouches and packs, journal, map, etc).
You know when you place like that you've got to sort of guess where it will end up when you place.
If you drag the gameplay window to the top left corner, when you get the target cursor to place, you'll find the house is represented by it's 'ghost' image in the exact position.
I dunno if that makes sense, I had a lot of coffee and I'm rambling. Good luck.
i understand just what your saying, i always use the ghost image when placing, i think the problem i am having is all over a darn mushroom, that falls under a wall tile, if i understand the current placement patch correctly, you can place over plants and such (statics that you can walk through) but they cannot fall under a wall tile. so there for, i believe im getting screwed over by a pesky MUSHROOM ! LOL just want to a second opinion.
