My own take on the future of this community though, based on what Nefarious has done...let me throw out an analogy here that I got from a friend. Let's say that UOSA is Gotham City and somewhere in the city a building gets blown up and a police squad murdered along with it. There's always several possibilities, but I think most people are going to logically assume that the Joker is responsible for this latest crime, based on his criminal history.

It's going to be the same thing here, whenever a new player shows up, seeking help, looking for friends, what you'd normally expect from a newcomer, I think most people are going to hesitate and be less trusting/less willing to help or extend a hand, solely because of Nefarious and his now infamous history as a scammer, because he started out more or less exactly the same way, just like new player X. Of course it's possible, and likely, that new player X really is a genuine newcomer just looking for some help, but because of Nefarious, I think most people are gonna be less willing to help the fellow out simply because they don't want to take the chance that this might be Nefarious looking for another big score.

Anyone see where I'm going with this?

All I could do is look at the pound puppies.

Telamon wrote:This seems to have been his plan all along. The guy was notorious for borrowing gold from everyone under the sun for his next "deal".

It's sad he managed to convince as many people as he did to loan him money. But I think he only managed it because no one bothered to hop in main and ask how many people had loaned him money.

Pretty stupid way to blow a reputation though when you had a prime vendor spot, and could have easily made that much money legitimately.

Like several people mentioned, with a name like Nefarious it was only a matter of time heh. For future reference selling items to people constantly does not make a reputation should not lead to people trusting someone.

Always ask for collateral...

I am sure in a week Nef will be back trying to convince everyone that Jekkis and 12 other people slighted him in some way so he had to steal their money. Mixed in with some racist comments about basketball players.
Did you type this in or did you have a script write it for u? ;)

Hey, we're all just impressed Telamon is doing something on his "own" and not relying on his goons to do it for him.

I'd just like to make the point that if we're going with the logic that this was bound to happen because he chose the name 'Nefarious', then by that same logic Telamon will definitely declare himself an ancient king at some point and attempt to have people executed.

Just sayin'

Don't worry, chainsoar.

I got your back.

*edit* Won't you be the tool that he uses to decapitate people?

You will be forced to use his broker references, or sell him something at what he thinks it's worth, or you shall be executed. I'm only having some fun with Telamon on the note though.
