I was curious if there was any one to locate a spot for a house? is the only option currently to just run around and try and find a spot? for example if I wanted to try and place a large house or a tower would there be any way to look in UOAM or some other tool to see where and if you could place houses in certain locations?
How do people currently do this with the larger houses?

Re: Housing Help
Well for one you can get the length by width numbers of the house and measure a particular spot. There are certain criteria that must be met for a house to be placed. If I remember all of it correctly that is. For example, placing a house next to another house. There must be at least 1 square tile of space on all sides of the house you're placing next to. If it's in front or behind a house there is a 10 square tile condition that must be met from house to the location of the house you're wanting to place. All obstacles that currently block houses such as trees, impassible objects, etc... must have at least 1 tile between the placing house and the object. In the end the best way to do this is to simply estimate or measure. There really isn't anything else you can really do besides those two options next to taking the deed itself and attempting to place the house where you want.

server down time is always a good time to test location. cause obviously nothing is saved in this time.

And just for the record, there are plenty of large house spots left, heck you can even still place keeps.
