New to Shard... Played from 1997-2000

Hey everyone,
I am just getting started here at UOSA...
I played on the Catskills shard from 1997 thru 2000 and have never found another game that even came close to the experience I had playing UO...
So here I am looking to re-discover the world of Ultima Online and hopefully enjoy re-visiting some great memories...

I know there are tons of FAQ's here about getting started, but I was wondering if a few veteran players could tell me exactly what they would do for a first character if they had to start fresh today on UOSA...

I want to get up on my feet as quickly and efficiently as possible so I can start enjoying the game instead of fumbling around trying to figure out what to do first and wondering if i made the right choice...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Getting started is relatively easy, especially since macroing is legal, it saves you a lot of time!

The wiki is a fantastic source: as for character builds, check out http://wiki.uosecondage.com/Templates

If I want help on making a macro, I usually search the forum, for example: Alchemy macro, or just Alchemy and first result, voila: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1722

You see it's very easy!

And being a noob is fun. I was killing Giant Rats to get enough money for my first armour! Fun fun fun. That's what really got me back into it. And then it just builds up exponentially and the sandbox unfolds and next you know your girlfiend's leaving you because you don't give her enough attention anymore...

I started this week and I played a few free shards + OSI back in the day. I have to say that this server is fun to roll on. Great guides on the forum and overall all people are nice

Start with your stats tho. What I did was go to the brit stables, make sure you buy a crook (or w/e it's called), you can buy one from any tinker.
Then equip the crook, dubbel click it, select animal en select the location you want it to go too. macro this for a few hours and you have a nice decent amount of str + int.
