Non stealable house deeds?
I'd trained up a couple of thieves over the past few weeks and today snooped a backpack and found every thiefs dream: a deed to a stone and plaster house. I hit my steal macro and clicked the deed, knowing it only weighed one stone so it was a sure win......only to be hit with a message "you can't steal that".

Re: Non stealable house deeds?
House deeds are newbiefied, cannot be stolen and stay with you when you die. However, if it is placed in a secondary container within your backpack it will drop on your corpse and be lootable (not sure if it is also stealable from a secondary container).

They are not newbied but weigh 0 stone so can't be targeted for theft. AFAIK they can be 'random' stolen though.Xandorf wrote:I also noticed that runebooks cant be stolen. Not sure how accurate that is. Are runebooks newbied also?

Deeds will also drop if your character is red.

It looks like boats are non-stealable as well, both by random steal and targeted steal. Someone today had a boat, a dagger, and spellbook. Random stealed them quite a few times and only got "You can't steal that" and "This item has no value to you".

You have fun camping the boat salesman then. Because I don't think I have ever seen a boat deed in a players backpack away from that area. They immediately place the boat, and for good reason.Soma wrote:Drydocked boats*MatronDeWinter wrote:Can't steal boats.

Killed someone at an IDOC that had a boat deed on them, its not impossible to find people that carry the deeds with them.MatronDeWinter wrote:You have fun camping the boat salesman then.
