More Noob Questions!

1) Rare Items, such as pure black sandals, blood splatters i.e. Where do these items come from? Are they rare drops from monsters or just random spawns throughout the game world?

2) Blessed clothing, how does one obtain bless deeds? Also I see a lot of people mentioning if a blessed item is pre-patch or not? what is the difference?

3) Why do people do most large monetary trades in house deeds? Are they blessed?

4) Are there any mobs the drop poison potions? I would like to gain my poison skill while farming.

5) Can a guild war another guild to start a fight or must both guilds war each other before the war is initiated?

6) does dexterity effect bandage speed?

7) Can archers solo Hard mobs like dragons or Balrons?

Most rare items are spawning, they spawn in specific places anywhere between 1-30 days. There are a few random rare drops from monsters, but these do not usually sell for very much.

Clothing bless deeds can be gotten from the silver turn in system, or occasionally from events. I believe for xmas 2011, any character that logged in on Dec 25th had the choice of three items, one of which was a clothing bless deed.

A pre-patch (Also known as "Grandfathered") piece of clothing is indestructible, anything blessed after Jan 2011 is breakable. GF'd clothing is a lot more valuable.

3) Why do people do most large monetary trades in house deeds? Are they blessed?

We do not have checks anymore, so house deeds are the next best thing. House deeds are not blessed, but they are newbied, it's pretty much the same thing except blessed items stay on reds when they die, but newbied items will fall on the corpse.

4) Are there any mobs the drop poison potions? I would like to gain my poison skill while farming.

Some mobs like Ettins, Ogres etc drop poison potions, but these are usually of very low quality, I would not count on them for any real gains.

5) Can a guild war another guild to start a fight or must both guilds war each other before the war is initiated?

An invitation is sent out, it then has to be accepted.

6) does dexterity effect bandage speed?

No, the only thing that will alter bandage timers is whether your character is poisoned or not.

7) Can archers solo Hard mobs like dragons or Balrons?

I'm sure it's possible, but very difficult. It's much easier to throw down an EV and wait for the poison to tick away.

Hello. I'll try to be as concise and clear as possible.

Some items spawn. Some used to spawn, but no more. Some are "rewards" (for events, holidays, tournaments, etc.), and some were created only once.

2) Blessed clothing, how does one obtain bless deeds? Also I see a lot of people mentioning if a blessed item is pre-patch or not? what is the difference?

Bless deeds have been obtainable 2 ways: (1) through the silver trade in system and (2) as holiday rewards. It used to be that you could only "buy" CBDs through the silver system, and the items you'd bless would never break regardless of how many times it was hit. Then one Christmas they gave CBDs to the whole shard, and a couple of days after a patch came in saying that blessed items would now break. Therefore, "Pre-patch" items became grandfathered and very rare because, to this day, they won't break.

3) Why do people do most large monetary trades in house deeds? Are they blessed?

They are noobied. If a red has them, they will drop. And yes, since it is too cumbersome to trade large sums of gold, and checks had not been invented in this era, then house deeds are the best alternative.

A couple do. I think scorpions drop one everytime. As do Poison Elementals, Ophidian Avengers and Knight Errants. Of course you could get lucky and get poison potions from ettins/gazers/etc.

When guilds "war" it only means that they can attack each other without going grey or taking counts. Both guilds must agree to "war" for this to happen, otherwise you can still attack anyone at anytime, but you will go grey and are subject to take a count if you do kill them (not that many people care).

As far as I know: No. But I have heard this mentioned in the past. Maybe it's another era.

7) Can archers solo Hard mobs like dragons or Balrons?

You can depending on how you "trap" them. Archery is slooooooow, and larger mobs will clubber you to death while you stand to prep, then stay put to shoot, then still stay put for the arrow to hit... Only viable way is to keep them off you by getting them "stuck" on stuff and taking on their massive mana dumps. Possible: yes Recomendable: No. Much better to go buy a bunch of EV scrolls and just drop them that way. BTW, Archery is not the best skill to have in this era.

What is Silver Turn In system?

Also why would you want to bless something if it will just break? that sounds like a waste of a bless deed.

Do sandals break?

How about aprons, robes, and other clothing items?

Silver Turn-in System explained.

They break according to the damage they take. If you wear pants over your sandals, they will not be taking damage, as the pants will absorb it all.
