Alchemy question

Post by ClowN »

ok, so i know within the last few months the bug or "feature" was implemented to where you can use more then 1 mortar at the same time to make potions. i have 2 questions about this.

1. does using multiple mortars increase your rate of skill gain? what i mean is does it check your skill every time a potion is created, or just after you use the first mortar?

2. If the answer to question 1 is yes, does anyone have a macro that will utilize multiple mortars for skill gain they could post?

right now i am just using a razor macro to make a potion, and dump it into a keg, then repeat. what i would like to do is use a macro to have like 10 mortars running at once, and then dump the potions after each cycle. im not sure if this is doable with razor or not though.

any help would be appriciated.

Yes, the more you grind the faster you will gain skill. SO running 10 mortars at once will be quicker.

2 ways i know of to do it.

1. Just do a use item by type (morter) and then pause 2 secs and loop it. the problem with this is sometimes it will start over on a morter you where already using... I dont think you lose resources but im not sure.

2. The other way is to simply put 10 of the tools you want in a bag and with razor record you making a potion with each one. Paus 1 second in between each one and when your loop of 10 is done it will start over.

what sucks about this is when you wear out a tool you have to retarget razor to the new one everytime...

Gm tinkered tools last much longer.

that helps. i kinda figured that was gonna be the only way to do it but i was hoping there was a trick to make razor not keep reusing the same mortar so i could let it run over night. oh well though. thanks for the help.

I though of if but haven't tryed yet because I'm working on poisoning so 1 mortar is fine for me.. but..

put let's say 5 mortar in a bag using restock agent, then use this bag with the use once agent and run thru the 5 mortar. Then at the end of your macro, reset the the use once to re use the same mortar..

I guess it could work if you do a few tests
