Does a melee attack fizzle magery?

Really unsure of this after playing so many different shards with different rules..and just trying to figure out best defense against PK. If someone is casting, and I hit with a melee weapon...or archery..does the spell fizzle?

Also, if I cast a spell (for example magic arrow) when someone else is casting (for example, flame strike) would my spell disrupt the casting of the latter?

Also on my PK update..be pleased to know that I very nearly held my own against a PK until his friend came and then they both killed me lol

The ability to interrupt somone depends on how much damage you do, their magery skill, and which circle spell they are casting.

Assuming GM mage,a MA would have a decent chance of disrupting FS, but little chance of disrupting recall or greater heal. Higher damage improves thse odds, like a weapon hit or harm.
