$C$ Tortuga Harbor Auction!! $C$

On behalf of El Cartel $C$ and our town Tortuga Harbor we would like to invite all out for our first Auction to take place in our newly constructed Auction House located at Tortuga Harbor!

When: Friday Feb. 13th @ 8p.m. eastern standard time

Where: Tortuga Harbor ( head north from vesper strip to the coast or go to Roadkill's Rune Library, in the player establishments book hit $C$) We will also be availible in irc or choco's vent server to help get you here if you need asistance)

All items will be sold with no reserve unless it is a high end item such as a server birth rare, trophy point reward, or something highly unique, expect to see some nice vanq's, rares, and other nice items that are worth coming for, and we hope that a few of you will find some great bargains for joining us for this event.

We will also be accepting items on consignment, please messege Herb for details on how to see your item go across the auction block.

This will also be a good time to explore our town, and we welcome anyone to use our rune library, vendor shops, the outhouse, and hopefully this will grow to be a great place for trading, and maybe some of the best fishing around.

So what was this all about? I found a rune on the ground by the bank...unfortunately, despite what the rune said, i showed up about 50 minutes late. I recalled in front of a tower with a red in it that starting running toward me as soon as i materialized then got chased by a blue who tried to reveal me when i hid...its an assumption but i think they had ill intentions! What was the purpose of this event? Did you auction off your own items or expect people to bring items there? How did it go?

It was actually a well run event. Lots of pretty good items for sale at really good price. It was even well protected by Lucifer, Pepsi, and co. It's your fault for coming an hour late and getting chased away

I wasnt trying to assign any blame or anything...just wanted to relate my experience and find out what it was supposed to be like...hopefully from someone who participated...and someone who ran it. I want everyones take. For instance, what items did you personally see go for a good price? How much? How many people where there running it compared to the number who just found runes like i did and stop by? I love player run events like this, great to see this shard, which im new to, has them.

I thought everything went really well, all items that sold where picked up by the bidders, there where some nice deals, and everyone stayed from start to finish, I assume because they enjoyed the Auction

We plan to do more Events and Auctions in the future

As far as being attacked in our town, during events $C$ will be on blue's unless we think up a event for reds, and one must assume that any player town can be hostile, but during the auction the actual house was well protected. However if you see a red $C$ player at another time I do not have any rules on who can be pk'd but the entire guild does hope the town is utilized by the server.
