UOSA Promo Video, 2,000,000 Gold in Incentives!

Later this year I'm going to be working with Derrick to push UOSA a bit further. We need a high quality video that really pushes UOSA's core values. An (semi) accurate emulation of the T2A era. The video should not feature any of the custom neons that do exist here, because as the shard moves forward, the harder these items are to come-by, so there's no reason to detract possible visitors by showing off any of those old custom features UOSA still has floating around (another one that comes to mind, is dressed player vendors)

The video needs to be good from a marketing perspective.

The video should feature PVP, PVM (solo-farming, group farming, event/raids, etc), crafting, housing, shots of different towns, etc... preferably without a stump patch or other client altering file mods.

So why would you want to do this?
I am offering up 1,000,000 gold (1 castle deed actually) of my own wealth to the video deemed to be most suited for being on the UOSA website.
I am offering 500,000 gold to the 2 runner-ups, as your videos will be usable elsewhere for promoting UOSA.

If you can't make a video, but want to help, pass the word along to other UOSA players.

REMEMBER TO:

In your video, highlight some things that make UO great that people who play WoW or other MMO's wouldnt be aware of. Like...
- Housing "Own your own house! Blah blah"
- Skill based. No classes.
- Crafting
- Death consequences, and full loot mechanics
- Sandbox

All I'm saying is, dont just show all PvP and PvM. Describe some of the other fabulous game mechanics that keep guys like us coming back to UO.

Who is the audience? After all - the "slogan" for the site/shard IS .. The way it was, so its already geared toward those that have had the experience....

... have to find a way to bridge the gap (or barrier in some instances)

I'm a hardcore T2A only vet that actually put UO down in 1999/2000 and literally picked it up where I left off last month. The draw for me was the era accuracy of a "game" that introduced graphical MMORPG that created an immersive environment to create my own adventures and interact in a meaningful way with individuals across the world... and you can own a friggen house - A HOUSE! That other people can actually see! I was/am hooked!

Maybe the "campaign slogan" should read: "The Game that Started It All" .... with a sub of : "Experience the Thrill, Emotion, FUN, Excitement, Danger, Fullfillment and Satisfaction of The Way it Was Meant To Be"

Definitely include killing people ten tiles into their homes, players outrunning arrows, people table/firefield bumping to the second floor of your home and all those other awesome mechanics that keep people coming back to... oh wait..


Those things are terrible. Best you should just leave them out and stick to the original game plan.

I am adding value by suggestion you show griefers killing people in houses that was not possible in era. By showing both good and bad aspects of UOSA, you will be truely showing them how it works here. Let them know that in certain house types, there are no longer safe spots to macro etc.
