House Keys

Post by Flower »

Hello just placed my lil house and was wondering can the key be locked down on the steps? And if so can anyone use it or just the owner and friends. I worked hard to get a lil house and dont want to get burned.
thanks

You can't lock down anything that close to the door, but you can place a secure container inside which no one but friends can access.

You can also "wall off" a section of the house with tables to secure items that aren't in a secure container.

So you have to carry your key with you if you plan to keep your home locked ?

Or recall home from bank with the key, or keep another char inside to open door.

There's some infor here on T2A era housing:

"I wish to place a trash barrel" creates an impassable barrel at your feet (which you can throw things out in)

However, a trick in the small house is to place a large forge in it and a barrel next to it.. here's an example

The "E" are empty spots, "F" is forge, and "T" is trash barrel...

EEEEE
EEEEE
EEEEE
TFFFF
EEEEE

So you walk in, close the door, detect hidden, then walk in front of your barrel, say "I wish to place a trash barrel", walk forward, say it again, and walk forward again. This should keep your house 100% safe from looters
