Thanks Liquid but I've sold a dozen of these in the past month for between 18-20k. Pretty solid market from 5-6 players. In fact I've agreed to sell these for 36k. Sometimes I get more.

Well more power to ya, i am guessing the buyers are buying them to either gamble on an epic magic weapon or for family/guild time fun. Sad to see these go for so much but cant help supply and demand, congrats and may u have continued success!

Like you I've wondered why they sell for so much. One player did a breakdown for me and figured he'd average around 20-25k per map BUT if you find just one sweet weapon you can easily double that amount. So if you do a lot of these maps, an expense of 18k might average out to 30k in gains, something like that.

So you can justify it on economic terms but mostly there's a small group of treasure-hunters here who just like the challenge of doing the maps and fighting the spawn.

I think that is the key thing right there, ive done thousands and thousands of tmaps, and i have a pretty good break down, but time spent on sorting, IDing and selling(either npc and players), time is better spent farming, however, like end of your quote, ive ran into people that paid full estimated gold income just to do the tmap with friends and family, and i wish they would quit playing so people like me could make an honost uo living

Not true, I've kept track of every lvl 5 map i've done, and not a single one has netted me any less than 22k just in straight gold from the chest and mobs combined. I've gotten as high as 26k. Then add in selling all the junk weapons and armor, scrolls and gems and you're lookin at about another 5k.
