I'm not telling you how to be orcs, I'm saying that if in fact your clan is giving counts and calling in "human" reinforcements because you're having a problem defending your turf then you certainly aren't acting like any Shadowclan I have personally belonged to on Great Lakes and Catskills.
Kurse said that he has been to Yew Fort a few times, and there will be no one but orcs around, he will engage them in battle, the battle goes a little south for the orcs (obviously frustrated by the ability of a mounted opponent to off-screen and come back healed) then either a red or some other individual shows up to fight on the orc's side. He hung around the last time as a ghost and said that the orcs knew the individual and had a rather amiable conversation with him. He also stated that the orcs did not attack this individual but allowed him to stay in their company as they looted Kurse's body.
So from that standpoint I can truly say, if Kurse's statement is true, you are really giving a bad name to a GREAT group of players past, present and future who want to see that Shadowclan gets the respect it deserves. (I realize that's a bit corny, but I'm old school that way).
If this is the kind of guild you want to run, maybe change the name and take up residence in the old Bloodrock Fort or Brigand Fort?
Personally I would love to see an old-school Shadowclan tribe take up residence here on UOSA, I have nothing against any of the players who are making characters and getting their orc on. I respect that, I just have a hard time with people taking the Shadowclan name and playing in a style that runs counter to the way Shadowclan has operated since it began.
I realize that Shadowclan is not a trademark and I have no right to tell anyone what name that their guild can or cannot have. I have no way of imposing a set of rules as to how this guild runs it's affairs or interacts with this shard or even who they allow to join the guild. I can only say that my time with Shadowclan was some of the best times I've had in an online game (I've played ALOT of them) and would like to see that kind of play implemented here as well, it would be well worth the time and resources invested.
So I hope there are no hard feelings, I've said my peace and I honestly do wish you folks the best, even if you're not running up to speed yet, hang in there and LONG LIVE SHADOWCLAN!! Rulg agh gulg'ye
