Second to last update:

The house has been placed and austerely decorated, but ian has been no place to be found! I will place a final post with a screenshot of the house and a list of all the pledgers and donors, once the house has been transferred to ian.

Thanks to everyone who helped out!

And now, my final update:

Well everybody, the deed has been done (pardon the pun), and ian has been transferred the house (cant get rite, his smith, is the owner). Thanks to everyone who pledged and donated, and particular thanks to felix/rd for giving me the impetus to create this thread. As promised the list of donors is as follows, and in no particular order:

Anonymous: 15K
felix: 10k
Fwerp and Zylo/Pubert: 15k
Evocah: 15k
Kylock: 50k
Prosonic: 20k
Roadkill: 18k (covering the balance)
Hoots: 10k
PETA/Kefka: 20k
Hemperor: 20k.
==========
193k.

Everyone was very prompt in surrendering their checks, and as I mentioned earlier, the amount of pledges quickly exceeded the price of the deed.

Alcon and Daz also made generous pledges, but I did not need to collect them because of the overwhelming interest in helping out ian. There was even an offer to reimburse other players for portions of their donations, but they were refused.

I just want to express my thanks to everyone who participated and made suggestions. Thanks for making this possible. I think it was a great success, and it goes to show why this is such a great game. You can completely screw someone over in it, but you can also help someone out tremendously as well.

ian ultimately asked me to move the house further north, so I did as far as I could. So, thanks again to everyone, and see you in the field.

It won't be long before ian goes out and transfers his house to someone in exchange for magic beans, or something equally as incomprehensible...

Way to be an asshat Bisco. Your "Holy than thou" attitude isnt needed here. Not everyone is as l33t as you. I think its cool of fwerp to open this thread, if I would have seen it earlier, I would have donated. Grats to Ian, even though he was a sucker for putting faith in his guild.
