I've seen this brought up in the past, but It still has yet to be fixed.
I could have sworn, that you were able to cast an EV on top of the mage tower in shame, which would attack/kill the poison ellie below it. This created a fairly safe area to farm at (minus the pks), similar to the liche lord room LOS bug.

The pole on the outside of the mage tower is possible.

It boils down to LoS with rooftops. Sameway there is a problem with teleporting to roof tops with the doors open and you standing in them creates the problem with targeting certain areas with spells[fields, evs,blade spirits]
