Flag for speaking in guild chat

I have never been able to get the normal guild chat to work:" \g whatever

I was using [g whatever and it was working fine, now neither one works...what gives?

Is there some other way to guild chat?

I intended to have this working this morning, but the critical information of who is actually talking was left out. It'll be fixed on the next restart.
