Hey guys, What did you all think?

I missed most of it cause of some out of no where RL bullshit. I jumped on UO quick to check it out and it looked like a decent turnout! Definitely one of the biggest player ran pvp events.

Any suggestions for the next one? We probably won't be having one for a while, we are going to look into some fielding events instead but we will definitely be hosting another 1v1 in the future. If any of you guys got screenshots, please post! I got some at home I will post when I get home

That sure was a really long tournament.

It went well towards the beginning. However, half way through the tournament it just became very much like a task than an event to enjoy. Having to deal with the annoying people that would run in and hide inside of the arena was utterly annoying. This happened during a possible kill shot on Choppa for me in the finals blocking me from hitting him with a hally at 15% life. I pretty much flipped out after that incident happened. Not to mention the same guy running next to me the entire duel trying to block me. There were the occasional bombers here and there. Also, the people that would randomly ebolt from the outside didn't help. Those are the only major complaints that I have about the entire event.

I was pretty disappointed at the end of the the tournament after all of the interference that occurred during the finals. I wish the finals was the best of 3 like the rest of the matches. I essentially won that tournament based on the ruleset that was in place, but winning by a sudden death like that wasn't very satisfying to me at all. I kind of wished that I kept that win after what happened with that annoying no life scrub that would hug my dick the entire match interfering like that though. The last match was just a complete waste of time because of the interruptions by that person.

i was hoping to place - im poor and lazy, but it was still worth the time just to duel with some of the people on this shard.

the SD timer was a little low and it seemed like all my matches went to SD, which was kind of annoying. I lost my last match to Eumun in SD both times because I was out of mana when SD hit. of course with the ruleset on this server and luck based interupts an SD time limit is definately needed. but not always the way you want to win or lose a fight. also, it was very hard to see the SD timer sometimes.

also, more arenas would be excellent next time.

I'm really sorry to hear that faust. Unfortunatley I wasn't on during the event which kinda sucked. I'm definitely bummed out to hear about noobs trying to grief at an event that we have set up on our own time and expenses ingame to benefit the shard. It was basically our "FIRST" 1v1 event considering the prior one had about 5 participants.

The tournament was definitely still fun for me. I was lucky to have most of my matches early on before this kid started being very obnoxious. However, sadly it was obvious this idiot waited for the finals to interfere the most. I'm pretty sure that it was Hemperor. He ultimately face planted to the floor by me during the semi finals on his medi-dexer. This annoying "figure" mysteriously starts to be the most obnoxious after he lost the tournament. Also, this same mysterious "figure" didn't happen to screw around in ANY of his matches. Go figure, huh?

The tournament was still pretty good overall. I loved the best of 3 structure if it could have just moved along more quickly. Having extra arena's would definitely move that process much quicker if it's possible. I know how much more of a hassle that would be though. So it's quite understandable why there is only one arena.

There is a huge difference between showing up with a few PK's or guild members to try crashing the event. Instead this guy uses a character with GM hiding to run inside the event just to block the people that are fighting and snag an item before dying. Hopefully the next time around no one will have to deal with such douche bags that have no life for 3 hours trying to disrupt a tournament.

The sudden death timer was absolutely awful. You can't expect someone who is focused on their fight to see yellow letters outside of the arena with tons of people all around it typing shit. Cast something in the arena to alert the duelers it is sudden death. Maybe a wall of stone 30 seconds before sudden death and a fire field at sudden death. Or even an energy field casted and once it disappears sudden death begins.

I enjoyed it, I honestly wanted to compete but I was having some major lag issues, so instead I tried to steal regs. Before someone says it, I was not the annoying blocker, I was the one that recalled away a few times with some regs until you wised up and blocked the gate. In all honesty, I think that the tournament ring should have walls to disrupt the line of sight of the ebolters and potion throwers, mabye thats something that you guys can talk to Derrick about. Either way, events like these are going to have griefers and PK's, thats uo for ya, and probably the reason why most of us play this game. It certainly will increase traffic to your vendor mall, and I believe thats what you were trying to accomplish right? Few places have good (stocked) vendors, and I think your doing a great job, thanks.
