Houses in Bog of Desolation

I didn't think it was possible to build in this area, though I saw some big houses in there when last I walked through. I recall someone (can't remember who) buying and dropping the houses there a few years ago in some "reclamation" project, and after that it would not be possible to build.

Am I imagining this?

You are correct. Any current remaining homes are grandfathered and when they fall they cannot be replaced. (A tower fell there recently).
