Vendor

Post by tiredat52 »

I need advice. I had over 30k on vendor, I said his name and collect 15k. I did not get the gold, gold did not drop to floor and did not go into bank. Vendor then showed that gold had been given to me and total is now at 15k less than it was. When this happened I used detect hidden and noone was in the shop that could have gotten it. WTF happened and why?

It will go into your backpack unless it's too heavy, in that case it will fall to the ground at your feet.

I appreciate what you are saying and that is my understanding of what should happen. But that is not what happened hence the post.

Then either someone took it, or you perhaps dropped it back on the vendor? That gold cannot be reclaimed, but does go towards vendor fees.

If you collected 15k from the vendor it dropped to the floor.
I think I know what happened. Did you happen to hold ctrl+shift after you did it to see if it was on the floor hidden? One time this happened to me and I couldn't find the gold. Here it was right under me, but it was like it fell through the floor boards of the house. Hopefully its still there cause I think It can decay since its like under the house. Its also possible that a rug or something is hiding it.

Scav wouldnt have worked, 15k is too heavy for them to pick up.
Im 99% sure I am right on this one with my above scenario.

Hey big props to Menkaure and Richie IX. It did fall to floor and was hidden underneath pentagram. I used control shift after reading this and there it was. I appreciate everyones comments and I realy learned something so that was cool!

How long would you say it was there? So it didn't decay? Which would mean it was technically inside the house according to server code.
