Who is chumpbucket?

Last night I awoke in a cold sweat screaming: "WHO IS THIS THIS CHUMPBUCKET? WHO COULD HE BE? WHY MUST HE CALL ME A THIEF!? WHY DOES HE ONLY DRESS IN YELLOW?"

Alas, I will never know, for Derrick will never tell and chumpbucket himself only continues with his taunting refrain: "chumbucket is not a bard he is a thief. PLEASE REVEAL BEFORE AND AFTER YOU GATE!"

Although I am on the verge of quitting the game over this slander, I must admit that it is good advice.

To be honest the stress this is causing you is giving me sleepless nights as well, it is just shocking that somebody would spread such malicious slander... Sickening.

I decided to do a little digging myself, and, while i didnt come up with a positive I.D. I developed a theory that is worth further exploration.
Exibit A:


This is an "original" chumpbucket that appeared shortly after the "Castle Deed Heist" took place. Just looking at the original chumpbucket and the one i saw in Vesper a few short days later, i decided the two were neither the same nor created by the same person. While my pic is of the Britain town cry' Er' And the chumpbucket in question was based in vesper. I had oppurtunity to snoop both of them and found that the originals had nothing but newbie gear...as if they were purpose built to be stationed and left be.

In my second pic(Exibit B) you see a very different Chumpbucket. He is wearing some armor(prolly scavenged) is more "talkative" and upon snooping his bag he had odd items(possibly scavanged)...a few of said items were Keys...Of the type made as byproducts of crafting...Tinker chests....posibly trapped tinker chests...Now i had chance to interview the more recent Vesper Chumpbucket as part of my investigation. I shared my theory with him...and even made a wild accusation as to whom he might be in reality. He told me i was a "genius" and that the mystery was now solved. Only a receipt of the reward money will tell me if my genius paid off or not. I will not share who i deduced to be the chumpbucket...so as to leave the drama to continue.

I'm a little confused. I can't give you gold until you have compelling evidence of who chumpbucket is.

If you had known it was me, then it would have been me. But since it isn't then you didn't. Nor is it anyone I am cooperating with. Most likely it is Kyfus or some other B_D member, particularly given this rant on the boards near my vendor.

Ok...After I made my bold accusation, and feeling confident that my assumption was right(but we all know what happens when you make assumptions) I had accused chumpbucket (as did all of us apparantly) of being...Chumbucket himself. My theory is, after the castle deed was heisted that B-D guy (Braggert Deathe? Im not looking it up) Was furious and made or had people in his guild make the original chumpbuckets. After a day or so of this spamming they cooled down and figured out that they were doing nothing more than singing the praises of the most renowned bard in secondage. So they stopped. When the Jubilation ceased the man with the plan made his own choir and began this "who is this guy" campaign. Now i cant put my finger at the exact tipping point that makes me so sure that the new chumps are by a different person...but ive listed a few facts...They have a different "feel" about them and the gear they carry also. Now after i accused the Chumpposter of being Chumbucket he told me i was a genious and figured it all out..but he had to go. He then went grey and exploded...Leaving his "Loot" behind. Now if the real Chumbucket has taught us anything...Its that people will take anything off a grey corpse...





This struck me as a very Chumbucket tactic... "The gig is up...im taking someone with me! KAMAKAZE!

I figured id make a humorous post...and keep it vague. I hoped Chumbucket would send me a PM and say.."Here is your gold, dont tell anyone it was me im gonna keep this thread going...and to hell with that clark kent guy... i dont care he guessed it was me first,he won the last contest i held...i think he's stalking me."

I have been seeing a lot of trapped red boxes. A chumbox is usually a small crate, however. Either he's scamming us, or there's a copycat running around. Either way, this sucks.

Well, I had just assumed it was either Kyfus or Ashen Shugar (both BD), and I thought it would make a nice sort of epilogue to the castle ordeal if I could prove that it was one of them. Alas, this chumpbucket has left me stumped.
