I'm sure I'll be corrected by someone who doesn't have a rare vendor.....
What the population is willing to pay IS the going rate.

Not entirely accurate... There are two sides to every sale. I had this discussion with Dunder Mifflin... You need to have sellers willing to sell at a price for it to be the going rate. Usually if there are enough sellers, one of them will set a lower price to make a sale.

You cannot be a seller without a buyer. You can list at what you think its worth but if no one bids at that price you are forced to keep it or lower your price.....hence the term buyers market....which is where the UOSA economy currently is.

My apologies to Capitalist for posting on your sale. I am not saying this particular sale is a bad deal. Just making a point to others that have posted here. At least your getting a lot of free bumps.

You posted a response as if you are arguing with me, but in reality you are making my same points. There are two sides to every sale and both sides have to agree to the price.

Your first statement "What the population is willing to pay IS the going rate" is only true if you can find a seller actually willing to sell at this price.

And i make no apology to Vega for threadshitting. :D
