UO: The Second Age Research
I'll keep updated as I find more...
http://web.archive.org/web/200008230943 ... .com/bugs/
This site has a huge back-log of bugs ranging into mid-99. I haven't scoured it yet but it may help enlighten things which were 'fixed' or not.
http://web.archive.org/web/199910060111 ... .com/uobh/
Don't know if it may be of use, alot of old polls on topics during 1999.
http://web.archive.org/web/199910030356 ... npage.html
This site has some random stuff on it like many old diary entries, but what I found most interesting was this pic of an overworld spawn map :

http://web.archive.org/web/200003050252 ... /spawn.htm
Some guy's theory on spawn rates.
http://www.markeedragon.net/uomall/index.htm
Markee Dragon: Masters of UO website 1999 archive. Many of the links still work. Could be possible to reference the old pricing guide, and has a huge archive of news updates and comments on patches/features.
http://web.archive.org/web/200104210735 ... ravel.html
How the moongates worked.

Archived Notes:http://w3.the-kgb.com/kgbnewsa/kgbnewsarc.htm
Can't wait to skim through the history of this page. Has TONS of pics/descriptions and other random stuff.

I even submitted a couple of bugs I for the life of me I do not remember what they were or what my user name was.
A lot of people were worried about being associated with sites like this and having their accounts banned so it was common to make up a new user name.

Ahh yes, the infamous UOShack, the precursor to AskChopper. This might be a decent resource but one very significant thing to consider is that many of these bugs were only rumors, and even if they did exist the would have only lasted for a short period of time before being corrected. However, the bugs themselves might shed some light on the underlying mechanics of UO.
Hopefully we can find ourselves an in-era archive.

When you submitted bugs and they were accepted you were able to log into some private list or something like that.Kaivan wrote:Ahh yes, the infamous UOShack, the precursor to AskChopper. It wasn't much better than the list that was public but they did hold on to new bugs for awhile available only in the private section before posting them publicly.

A bug that has been mentioned here before...
Insta Stamina for Horses
When it is fatigued and cannot move another step; dismount and say all follow me. From there your horse will have 100% stamina again and you can run again. Use anatomy to confirm it.
Type: Miscellaneous Status: Confirmed Date: 07/20/1999

I used to look at that old spawn map all the time when leveling up characters back in the 90s. I thought it had been lost forever until seeing it again here - Great Find!
