Just a question... I made a tinkerer and i started him with 50 skill. So i went out and chopped up some wood (around 1500 logs) and started macroing tinkering. I went through around 500 logs without a single .1 gain. Is this right? Do you have to make certain things for gains? First i tried creating the smallest item that used 2 logs (i forget what it is)... no gain. Then i tried creating a bunch of clock frames at 6 logs a piece and i still did not gain whatsoever.
Also another thing i noticed when i was macroing is that you can’t use logs in razor as a type. So basically my macro was taking out around 10 logs with a restock agent then using those logs to create something. But upon every loop of my macro it was like it did not recognize the new logs that had been placed in my pack (a different item id # maybe?)
If anyone has any answers to these it would be greatly appreciated.

Re: tinkering
I tinkered ingots making lockpicks til 95 then heated stands til gm.

Re: tinkering
right i had read that, but lockpicks are one of the weakest things to tinker and you got all the way to GM almost with that. I am tinkering things that require more resource and I'm not even gaining .1
I really think something may be wrong with this. Can someone look into this possibly?
is it because i am using logs? i really dont get it.

Re: tinkering
it's not resource based, it's difficulty based. Whatever you are making, regardless of how many boards/ingots it consumes, is to easy for you to gain, or too difficult.
