How does training taming work on this shard? Read.

I mostly played Siege Perilous in the original UO and they changed it back and forth a few times....at one point it was taming appropriate skill level animal, tame animal someone else released for more difficulty....then it was that power hour stuff where we went back and forth on the server to tame 1 animal and gain.

Anyway i ask this because i have tamed like a dozen Polar bears and snow leopards that were tamed by someone else and i got the message " that was too easy" and never get a gain from them.

Is this one of those servers where you can tame the same animal over and over again and macro it for gains? I really don't know because i'm not gaining anything on ice island. I am pretty sure at level 51 i should be gaining more than 1 point every 30 minutes...that's too slow.

Retames do not increase difficulty here.

So how the heck do you GM taming if you can't get the skill level a tad bit higher than normal?

you tame like a bitch, then you tame some more, and you keep taming.

I tried, i made it to 80 and said i'd come back to it one day.....

Heh i have had 3 tamers. 1 on a normal shard and 2 on Siege.
I thought it was odd that i can barely get past the level taming that i start with when most other skills don't stop spamming me til 70.

the polars you are taming on ice island have most likely been tamed by someone else and released. you wont gain off these.

kill them all, so fresh ones will spawn. u will gain off those.
