Iron Ore Smelting

Every time i mine ore and then I smelt it to make ingots, it always fails. It seems like there is no sucess rate for me. Can someone help?

Whats your mining skill?

Break it down into smaller amounts. i.e. dont try smelting 100 ore if you have low skill, do 10 at a time.

My mining skill is around 23-24%

Aye, that is pretty low for smelting iron. If it is possible, mine ore until you are at least 60 mining skill before smelting (70% chance). If you want to play it safe, wait til you are 75 mining skill for a 100% smelt rate on iron. You could just store all the ore in the bank and smelt when the time comes. This will give you 100% return on your ore instead of losing it up to that point.

Smelt the ore 1 at a time. You should (used to) get mining gains from that. Or wait till 75 mining as previously stated.
