i agree with derrick about making a new player or even a daily pop up to vote sites ... however .. i do think its a good idea .. it would be bad to ask a new player to vote .. he shouldn't have a good understanding of shard yet to know if he like or not to vote .. however once one does something like (*own a house, and want to refresh it ) by now i think they should be asked vote for us ..

i know some thing like this is NOT era accurate .. but neither is sells/adv. dept of that of OSI 99 .. however (*) means its just the first idea i had ..

second right off my head would be attack some thing not era acc. to begin with and say a vote gump is brought up upon gate entrance to shard hosted event ?? (again they should know by now )

also though i didn't think this needed to be said but i will say it anyways .. your vote good or bad .. or in ablity to vote should NOT MATTER .. just the gump pops up when your in a safe place and should know the sever enough to feel good about voting

if something like this is put in place another idea would also be a way to turn it off .. however i would suggest that this info be published in your myuosa account so that the community can "police" people who ask for things like players run town addon's (as my understanding is helping the comm. is the point of those things ) and more people could help alot how ever they come

me and couple buddy's just started playing again. Angel Island Shard just Went down for good....had a 2 day open spam your shard. did anyone get in there ? i know some guys and played with Adam on Napa. ill send word to come here. err try.

When can we expect to see it?

We've been working/dreaming on this for 6+months. I really think it may be time to make this top priority.
Most of the credit for turning the dream of this into a possiblity goes to wobble llama.

I'm going to assume you were helping out a new player, that really takes the extra effort and is the best way for them to learn, nothing like a personal helper! heh, nice work.

Now i know why u screamed "its hemperor" ingame. Sorry for that. Most people use to scream like that to make people go away, its a classic trick

When they get on irc most ppl get their questions answered, however most people dont seem to use IRC.

I don't have the time for it, but games like Runescape and Ragnarok Online have well over 1000 pop on every free server, even the shittiest servers have about 1k players, and they are all playing the game because its a free mmorpg in which they can pvp.

Somebody has to go rape their forums and enlighten their pvp player base. If they knew about UO i'm sure they would be playing it. We could have like 1000 new little anime loving shit talking 12 year olds running around on our shard in a week or two, and thats way better then 200 carebears and 20 pvp elite veterans.

First of all, I Totally agree with hemperor population is a major thing and as a group that shouldn't be to hard. To be honest i've played this shard for 7 months or something and i just started to vote. This is my frist time reading the forums and i just started to use irc.

Secondly, era accurate shouldn't be what you aim for, for Example. The timing of the spell damage is stupid. It might be era accurate but it does not make this shard better. What i think the shard should be about is t2a with all the adjustments to make it better.. I'm just saying the focus shouldn't be on era accurate.

But then its not T2A...and the shard becomes just another free shard where the designer is trying to perfect a game that can't be perfected. Many people could argue that dex based healing or melee resetting on the move made the game better...should we also put that in to go along with spell timing changes? What about custom houses? They made it better, some people say. Heck, some people say trammel made the game better (I doubt they are here, but yeah).

So, if your suggestion was followed and the shard was focused on making all of the adjustments to make the shard better, instead of accurate...who gets to decide what is better? You? And if our answer is derrick, because its his shard, then he's already doing that as he deems strict T2A is best.

If we all know and understand the rules complaints usually revert into adaptation, and adaptation usually evolves into sophistications of the system mechanics. Alot of changes involve alot of fear and annoyance at first, but then it makes people think of ways in which to change their gameplay, rethink their strategy or profit from the changes.
Like I know ways to get wild white wyrms into Britannia without the use of gating...whoop de doo right? Some people wouldnt know the first place where to start even before gating wild monsters had been negotiated.
Rules arent made to be broken but rather bent into collars to enforce your will aye? For what law has not been derived first from chaos?
So just roll with it bud, but make sure to have your say...cause it matters. And if the shard doesnt cater to you totally its not supposed to. What a false victory would that be to go unchallenged?
Sure some things are stupid, sure some things you wished worked a different way but that doesnt mean this still isnt one of the funnest and most involved games ever played aye?
