Changing from Fighter to Mage....

Hello everyone,

I currently have a bard/fencer and I am trying to convert him to Bard/Mage for farming purposes.

My current issue is that I am at the stat cap and I need to change my Dex to Int. Now, other than the few days playing on this shard, I haven't played since 98/99 so I don't really remember how to do this. I have read some guides online which told me to cap my skills (did that) and ping pong between arms lore and spirit speak (keeping the max skill at either below 10).

I have been doing that for a while now but I still haven't seen any gains in INT whatsoever.

Is there a better way, or am I stuck playing the waiting game (the waiting game sucks if you haven't figured that out)?

Make sure Dex is set down and Int is set up.

Check the Wiki. I don't think you even need to ping pong. Lock all your skills except Spirit Speak (set up) then just macro SS. If you ping pong however, use Item ID instead of Arms Lore.

I am stupid and didn't realize I could set stats to gain/reduce. I feel like one of the people calling dell and asking them why their computer isn't turning on and having the person on the other end saying "is it plugged in?"
